Dark Side of the Sword Coast AI Scripts

DSMAGE

This script is for use with any Mage (including Bard, Fighter/Mage and Mage/Thief). The mage will cast any appropriate defensive spell upon seeing an enemy. S/he will not cast the same spell repeatedly unless warented. The mage will next begin casting offensive spells against any enemy as soon as he sees them. The mage must have an offensive spell memorized for him to cast a spell. If he does not have an offensive spell memorized then he will remain where he is standing and use any missle weapon that he possesses. If an enemy engages him in melee combat, then he will attack them with his melee weapon. The mage will also attempt to heal herself and attempt to remove the affects of poison.


DSCLERIC

This script is for use with any Cleric (including Cleric/Theif and Fighter/Cleric). The cleric will cast any appropriate defensive spell upon seeing an enemy. S/he will not cast the same spell repeatedly unless warented. The cleric will next begin casting offensive spells against any enemy as soon as he sees them. The cleric must have an offensive spell memorized for him to cast a spell. If she does not have an offensive spell memorized then she will remain where she is standing and use any missle weapon thats he possesses. If an enemy engages her in melee combat, then he will attack them with his melee weapon. The mage will also attempt to heal herself and attempt to remove the affects of poison. The cleric will also attempt to heal and remove poison on any party member in need of healing.


CLERMAGE

For use with cleric/mages and is a meld of both dsCleric and dsMage.


TWFIGHTS

For characters you want to give the choice of engaging in melee combat. Characters using this script will use melee weapons when enemies are close (within 5') and not running away in panic, and used ranged weapons otherwise. Note, you don't have to give these guys a ranged weapon, if a ranged weapon isn't available they'll just use their melee weapon. However, due to a bug in the EquipMostDamagingMelee() action, you should make sure these characters have a melee weapon, otherwise they will use their fists (except the F/M/T who can only have one weapon, bug fixed). Characters using this script consider "in need of healing" to be HP < 35%.


SLAYER

This script is designed specifically for use with the new NPC Jet'Laya. This script works along the same lines as dsCleric, but it also uses Jet'Laya's special abilities as well.
